I suggested a short getaway for his birthday celebration. It was so rush that we only booked and took our tickets one day before our trip. It was a 2 day 1 night trip to Batam.
I guess I needed a getaway session too. . .

We stayed at Golden View Hotel.
All resorts in Batam was fully booked that's why we have to stay in hotel if not, I think resorts were be much more relax.

After settling down, we headed straight to SHOPPING~



Lunch at A & W! Something we can never have it in Singapore again~



Garlsberg per can at only a few cents when converted to SG dollars.

He bought so many stuff. I remember all in total, I only bought 3 tops lo!

Headed back to our hotel for dinner.
There was a restaurant nearby that serve disgustingly cheap seafood.





All these at only S$18 bucks per person. And free flow of white rice too.
There is discount if you are staying at Golden View Hotel. They told us the restaurant and the hotel is the same boss.

Went for massage after dinner.
Wake up early the next day to catch their breakfast.







Took a light breakfast coz I wanted to go swimming~




Just a gentle reminder to all:
I was bitten on both legs by some unknown insect while taking the ferry to Batam.
It became so swollen and painful and I got a bit of difficulty when walking.
So next time, I swear I'm going to wear long pants while taking the ferry.

We basically used up every single cents we have on us. Wahaha~
We managed to left some money to buy ½ a dozen of J-Co donuts since it is so cheap as compared to Singapore. The queue is madness. We nearly missed our ferry for those 6 stupid donuts.

I would recommend Batam for a short getaway since is just a 45min ferry ride from SG.
2 day 1 night accommodation and ferry tickets for $216.
Shopping is cheap, food is cheap, basically everything is so cheap as compared to SG.
